Frequently asked questions

What should I expect on my first treatment?

On your first treatment, you will meet with a doctor of physical therapy who will take a thorough history and ask questions about your pain or problem. Then, they will complete a full head to toe movement screen and discuss with you the findings and the plan to treat them and get you feeling better. There is always an open dialogue throughout the session so you can let us know how you are feeling, what you like and don't like about the treatment, etc.

What should I wear?

Wear loose fitting clothing that exposes the area that's problematic for you.

Do I need to see my doctor first before coming to you?

Nope! New Jersey has passed a law that allows direct access for patients to physical therapy without needing a referral or prescription from your doctor in most cases. The physical therapist will examine you, and let you know if they think your condition warrants immediate care from a doctor, or whether we can get started with PT and involve the doctor when necessary. This helps to save time, copays, and costly tests that are often unnecessary.

I have an old injury that is not very painful anymore, I just don't feel as strong as I should. Can I still come see you?

Absolutely! Our physical therapists are duel credentialed as strength and conditioning coaches, and after a thorough evaluation can prescribe a strength program for you that you can complete at our facility or on your own. We offer a variety of packages at different price points to fit your needs, so contact us for more details.

I am interested in treatment, but live too far away to come to your clinic, what can I do?

Depending on where exactly you live and the problem you are seeking help for, we may be able to offer Telehealth sessions, meaning we use video chat to complete an evaluation and teach you treatment techniques you can carry out at home. contact us for more information!
